I want vengeance so badly that I can almost taste it. It’s all I’ve ever wanted. So, I did what any privileged, adopted boarding school girl would do. I slapped on a secret identity and became an internationally renowned thief, known as The Fox. Nobody knows me. Nobody can catch me.

Or so I thought…

It turns out; I have what they want. Special abilities. And trust me, these abilities are coveted–and dangerous. Now, I don’t know who to trust or where to go. Peril lurks on every corner as I try to uncover my past and origin. Teaming up with unlikely allies may be my only chance at survival or my biggest mistake. Only time will tell.

I’m Kit Davenport and this is only the beginning.

** Warning: This book contains a kick-ass heroine with several sexy men (#whychoose), violence, bad-language and content which some readers may find triggering. **

The wait for the fourth Madison Kate book is painful, so I decided to read more Tate James.  I’ve heard a lot of great things about the Kit Davenport series; if the rest of the series is like The Vixen’s Lead, I totally agree.

This is more of a sci-fi/paranormal reverse harem. However, this isn’t a fated mate Reverse Harem like I often read with paranormal RH.  Kit is a strong and, for the most part, smart heroine.  A few times, I felt like she deserved a little side-eye, but I get it.  And I also liked that she can admit when she’s made a mistake.  In this book, there are five guys.  Although not all of them have officially been added to the harem, it is only a matter of time.  The guys are very different, which helped tell them apart.  As usual, I have a favorite or two, but I like all of them, even the token asshole.

As I mentioned, this is a paranormal romance.  So the overall plot deals with uncovering the secrets of Kit’s powers.  This book just scratches the surface on that, and there are many twists that I did not see coming, in typical Tate James fashion.

The audiobook was great.  The female narrator did a good job, but the Male narrator steals the show.  He does a great job with all five of the guys, giving them different voices so you can tell who is speaking!

I can’t wait to read the next book!  I have a feeling this series isn’t going to last me until October 31st.
