Synopsis

“You’ll always be mine.”

The latest taunt from my stalker reminded me I was nothing more than a possession to my father, to the Reapers, to Archer D’Ath. Even to Kody and Steele. Princess Danvers—the prize.

His wife.

Archer D’Ath’s wife.

I hate them. They lied to me. Over and over again. I knew they were lying, and I hate myself for letting it happen. For believing in the fake relationships I want so desperately to be real.

Fake.

It’s all fucking fake. My stalker won’t let me go. None of them will. Archer and his boys think they control me. My stalker wants to possess me. I’m not an idiot, I know my newest allies are using me too.

That’s fine.

I’ll use all of them. I’ll use them to take back what’s mine.

My life. My freedom. My name.

Review

Well, this is a hard review to write without spoilers, but here goes nothing!  Fake is the third installment in the Madison Kate series, and I think my favorite so far (Read my reives of Hate and Liar, the first two books in the series).  In Fake, we get a lot of answers to questions from the first two books, especially that one giant question at the end of Liar.

While we got some answers, not everything was answered, and we did get even more mysteries.  I also think that some of the “answers” we did get are suspect, so until I have full confirmation, I’m taking everything with a grain of salt.  But that’s what makes this series so good. It’s not just a romance, but mystery and suspense too.  In fact, I’d say it’s mystery and suspense first and romance second.

I love the story, but what I love the most are the characters!  MK is such a kickass feisty girl. I adore her, and while I wanted to slap a little sense into her a couple of times during this book, I love how capable she is.  And the boys, oh the boys!!  They are wonderful, and though Steele is obviously the best, I love all three of them. We also get a little more information about them which was extremely welcome.

This series is my favorite Reverse Harem series, and I’ve read it a lot.  The characters are wonderful, and the story keeps you turning those pages.  But Tate, not every book has to end with a crazy Cliffhanger! Is it October 31st yet?
