The Lost Princess

If you read more than five YA Fantasy or Sci-Fi books, then you have probably come across the lost princess trope.  As to not spoil any of these books, I am highlighting more of a I don’t remember who I am trope.

Heart of Iron


This book was interesting it is a Sci-Fi retelling of Anastasia so you already know that there is going to be some sort of lost princess trope, but It is very different than I expected.  I won’t lie, this wasn’t the best book I’ve read, and some of that might have to do with the fact it was a Sci-Fi book.

Defy the Stars

31423196This book is one of my favorite Sci-Fi books ever!  I mean its not quite Illuminae Files, but it’s pretty amazing.  The story is pretty amazing, there is a lot going on and I loved the interactions between the two characters.  If you’re not normally  Sci-Fi fan, this might be a great first step into the genre.


Aurora Rising

30075662 I had to include this book right?  Look if you haven’t read this book yet, you should. It has some amazing characters and a good story.  I won’t pretend it’s as good as Illuminae files, but it has the Kaufman/Kristoff snark that I love so very much
