Review

At the beginning I was a little confused, there was not a lot of backstory, rather we just jump in in the middle.  I quickly realized that was mostly because backstory didn’t really matter. This is a book about Grace and Cameron.

Cameron and Grace don’t get off to the best start starting off a slight enemies to lovers thing.  Then they try being friends, and finally, the lovers part comes in. Both of them are attracted to one another, so it isn’t a surprise when they give in to it.  Of course, their relationship is complicated by the fact that Cameron is Grace’s boss. That and the fact that Cameron, like Grace’s ex, doesn’t seem to want to make a commitment.

Cameron and Grace are very likable.  I did think that Cameron was perhaps a little harder on Grace than necessary, but all in all, I liked them both and was rooting for them.  The side characters were pretty great and I am excited to read Ian and Nia’s story.
