Synopsis

Once, the name Macalister Hale was uttered in the boardroom with respect. Now, it’s whispered in disgrace at cocktail parties hosted by Boston’s elite.

Scandal nearly destroyed me, but the one thing larger than my infamy is my bank account, and I’ve learned money can solve anything.

Well—almost anything.

Sophia Alby’s preferred currency is secrets and the way she trades information puts Wall Street to shame.

This girl charges into my life and claims a partnership can restore my reputation. My downfall was swift, but with her, my climb to redemption will be greater.

Our arrangement is professional. Appropriate. It has to be, because she’s half my age. But it doesn’t stop me from wanting . . .

To move on. To control and indulge in her. To hear the name Macalister Hale echo in her breathy moans.

But I can’t. Giving in to temptation led to my undoing before, and I won’t survive it a second time.

Review

When I read the first three books in the Filthy Rich Americans series, I was intrigued by Macalister Hale. So I was beyond excited to read The Redemption.

I loved that this was about Macalister trying to make amends. He understood what happened with Marist was a mistake and is trying to move on with his life. This was a new side to Macalister, and while he’s still the Macalister we know and love, he’s just a little more aware of his actions.

Sophia is amazing! I adored her and how she handled Macalister. Because of the dual POV, we see Sophia’s insecurities, which she is so good at hiding from the outside world. Watching Sohpia and Macalister fall for one another was so fun. I loved these two together, and all of their interactions were fire!

Macalister’s redemption tour was so fun to read. I loved the plotting between Macalister and Sophia. And how their relationship grew. Seeing Macalister be so protective of Sophia was everything! The steam was also fantastic, but I wouldn’t expect anything less from Nikki Sloane!

The audiobook was fantastic. Lance Greenfield was excellent as Macalister. He portrayed him in a way that, at times, felt a bit emotionless, but it made sense for Macalister. Rachel LeBlang also did a great job narrating Sophia!

I absolutely loved this book!
