Synopsis

My name is Hadley Parker, and today is the first day of the rest of my life.
Today I start school at Pacific Prep. This is my new lease on life, and I won’t be wasting it.
I need this, now, more than ever. I need the education, the promise of a future that I wouldn’t get anywhere else.
These rich kids don’t like me though.
When Hawk Davenport decides he doesn’t want me here, his friends back him.
Along with Hawk, Westley Warren, Cam Rutherford, and Mason Hayes rule this school and nobody dares go against them.

They don’t know the real me. I won’t back down.

Review

Broken Trust started as a typical bully boarding school romance, but it quickly became more.

I was so pleasantly surprised by this book! This certainly does have elements of a traditional bully romance. But it is so much more than that. There is a mystery element that I especially loved, and even though this book is told from alternating POVs between Hadley and the secrets aren’t revealed until it makes sense to do so. Hadley was a fantastic character, but I still feel like there is so much more to learn about her. And if I think she’s mysterious, the guys are even more so, especially Beck!

I loved the guys. Of course, I have a favorite, but they all bring something to the table. I am very excited to see how this Harem thing will play out.

While the romance aspect is excellent, the mysterious storyline kept me reading. So many secrets are uncovered, yet there are so many more left to be revealed. Smyth does a great job of giving you just enough and keeping you wanting more. I cannot wait to read more in this series!
