Review: People Like Us by Dana Mele

35356380.jpgShort synopsis: When a girl’s body is found in the lake, Kay Donovan and her friends must face their own secrets.

Initial Thoughts: I had such high hopes, but there were a lot of flaws, I didn’t like any of the characters and the end just made me even more mad.

Characters: 2 – I did not like a single one!  Like honestly, I don’t know that any of them were redeemable.

Plot: 3 –  This could have been amazing, but, well, it wasn’t.  This could very well be because I didn’t like the characters and really did not care what happened to them.

Originality: 2 – The mean girl thing has been done so I didn’t feel this was very original.

Predictability: 3 – Yeah I picked this one up very quickly, like everything.  The only surprise was the very end, and I’ll be honest, I hated that.

Overall: 2.5 (Goodreads 3)

A book full of unlikable characters with a plot that did not live up to its potential.
