Review: Daughter of the Buring City by Amanda Foody

IMG_4287.jpgShort Synopsis: When members of Sornia’s “family” are killed, she must find the truth before there are any more deaths.

Initial Thoughts: VERY original.  Characters were great and the plot had some surprises

Characters: 4 – The characters were great.  You could tell that there was a lot of thought put into to each character.  They felt very real.

Plot: 4 – I really enjoyed the plot.  It was a mystery that kept me guessing the whole time.

Writing: 4 – The writing was good.  As I said the character detail was impressive, and I thought the detail given was wonderful.

Originality: 5 – This was extremely original.  I truly haven’t read a story quite like it before.

Predictability: 4 – Well that was unexpected.  I don’t want to toot my own horn, but it takes a lot to get something over on me, and well I was surprised.

Romance: 4 – Okay, first let me say I loved Luca, so yeah the romance was pretty great in my opinion.

World Building: 3 – There were some aspects that really left me wanting more, I didn’t feel like I really had a grasp on this one.

Overall: 4

A wonderfully original book, with amazing characters.
