As an enemies to lovers lover, this book has been recommended to me several times. I finally read it and I am kicking myself for waiting so long. I loved Alex and Henry, LOVED them.
Red, White and Royal Blue, is such a fun read I was literally smiling the whole time I read it. If you have ever read a book and thought, I need to be best friends with this character, then you know exactly how I feel about Alex. I love his personality and just who he is. One of my favorite parts of the book was when Alex was questioning his sexuality. It just seemed so real to me.
Henry was about as much of a prince charming as you can get. While Henry and Alex are very different, something made it work. I enjoyed that this book called attention to how the media treats celebrities as well as bringing politics into play. Yes, this book is a romance, but it has so much more substance than that. It is a commentary on our society, the bad and the good.
