Synopsis

Rule No. 1: Don’t piss off the Sick Boys

They’re cruel. Reckless. Impossibly fucked up.

The Sick Boys feed on the order they create. They rule Eastpoint University just as their families have for decades. But their power doesn’t stop there. The three of them are heirs to some of the largest fortunes in the world, and behind that kind of wealth lies an underworld of corruption.

On the surface, they’re perfect princes and he is their King. But underneath it all, they’re filled with blood, lies, and secrets. With all of their connections, they have the power to crush anyone who gets in their way. But just because they’re as warped as I am doesn’t mean I’m going to give them a free pass.

Because I, Avalon Manning, bow to no one, and I live to break the fucking rules.

Review

Pretty Little Savage is a darkish bully romance. It has some great characters and an engaging story I loved.

I have to admit that in the beginning, Avalon rubbed me the wrong way.  She had such a massive chip on her shoulder, and though it might have been warranted, I wasn’t loving it.  You aren’t supposed to like Dean; he is a typical alphahole.  I loved seeing Avalon and Dean challenge each other.  Savage Pretty Thing is told from both of their POVs, which I always appreciate with these types of books.  It is often hard like the dark heroes in these books without their perspective.  In addition to Dean, the Sick Boys are made up of Able and Brax, both of who I loved.  I found myself hoping this would turn into a Reverse Harem because I loved them so much.  It didn’t, and I can’t see Dean sharing.

The story is interesting, and there are some definite triggers here, especially drug use and rape, so stay away if you have an issue with those. There is a mystery that even after reading the first book, I am not sure what I’m waiting to figure out. However, we do get bits and pieces of smaller mysteries. I would say that Savage Pretty Thing is more about character development.

I loved Pretty Little Savage and can’t wait to continue on with this series.
