Thank you to Berkley for providing me a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
This is my second book by Andie J. Christopher, and while I did like this better than Not the Girl You Marry, I didn’t love it. The idea was good a drunk marriage, fake relationships, that sounds great to me, but something was missing.
I just didn’t really get why these characters fell for each other. They both were into each other, but I didn’t see anything in the story as to why. There was no building up. Yes, they worked together for three months but that was glossed over and it seemed like they barely spoke to each other.
Don’t get me wrong Bridget and Matt were both very likable characters. I just think that part of reading romance is reading about two characters falling in love. And that didn’t happen here. They were just suddenly in love. I had high hopes for this book and I was disappointed that it was just fine.
