My Favorite Steamy Reads of 2020

I have one more list of favorites for you. Today I am sharing my favorite steamy reads from my #DirtyDaddiesWednesday posts. Not all of these are super-steamy, though let’s face it, most of them are. But while these books have a lot of steam, they also have a great story.

Hate

Kate by Tate James

“Madison Kate Danvers was murdered tonight.”

Those words changed my life, and not for the better.
They were wrong, of course. I wasn’t dead. But I was set up.
After being charged with a string of offences–and made an example of by my political minded father–I’m eventually released back into Shadow Grove with one thing on my mind.
Hate.
Someone is going to pay for derailing my carefully laid out future. Someone is going to catch the full force of my hate. How very convenient that someone just moved into the bedroom down the hall from me.
Archer D’Ath and his boys messed with the wrong chick and they’re about to learn just how cold Madison Kate’s hate can run.

The Madison Kate series was one of my favorite reads of 2020. I loved the whole series, especially the characters! If you’re looking for a steamy reverse harem with a great story, look no further!

See Me After Class

See Me After Class by Meghan Quinn

“Did you have relations with my brother . . .”

Good question.

I’d like to preface this by saying it was never my intention to ever get involved in a workplace romance, let alone get involved with the most surly, agitating, and pompous man I’ve ever met who just so happens to be my new friend’s brother.

My intentions were to show students how English and reading books could actually be fun and make a new life for myself in the suburbs of Chicago.

But so far, I’ve managed to be called into the principal’s office.

Coerced into participating in the teacher’s badminton league.

And instigated into passionate fights with Arlo Turner over education and decorum while losing my underwear at the same time.

Known as Mr. Turns Me On, he’s the reason I might get fired from my first ever teaching job.

This book was such a pleasant surprise. Cute and funny and very steamy! The story was delightful, as well.

A-guy-walks-into-my-bar

A Guy Walks into my Bar by Lauren Blakely

Every bartender should follow one simple rule—don’t go home with the customers.

That’s been easy for me to stick to, until the night a cocky, confident, and sinfully charming hockey star walks into my bar. This sexy athlete is too hard to resist, especially when he makes it clear how much he wants the “sarcastic, witty, hot AF” guy behind the bar—also known as me.

Still, I’m not keen on breaking my own rules since I know where that can lead—no place good.

But when that man makes his case with one bone-searing kiss on the streets of London, I throw resistance out the window.

What could go wrong with a hot, no-strings-attached fling before he leaves town in five days?

Trouble is, soon our nights together lead to days, to long conversations, to getting to know each other, and to something I never expected—falling ridiculously hard for a man who’s getting on a plane to America when I live a world away.

My life is here. His is there. And no amount of falling or feeling will change that one big problem.

This was one of my favorite reads of the year. It is a very steamy M/M romance with humor and heart and did I mention quite a bit of sex.

Rejected

Rejected by Jaymin Eve

As a wolf shifter growing up in a strong pack, I should be living my best life. But after my father tried to kill the alpha, I’m labeled an outcast, traitor, less than dirt.

When I can’t take pack life any longer, I run, but apparently they don’t like losing their punching bag. Torin, the alpha’s son, drags me back before my first shift… a shift that will reveal my true mate.

I never could have predicted who mine would be, but the moment my wolf looks upon him, I’m filled with hope for a brighter future.

After all, no one ever rejects their true mate, right?
Wrong. Very wrong.

When the wolves attack, my soul screams for vengeance, and somehow I touch the shadow world. Somehow I bring him to our lands.

The Shadow Beast. Our shifter god. The devil himself.

Turns out being rejected by my mate was only the beginning.

This is the least steamy book I have on the list, but the story is wonderful, and I suspect that there will be more steam in the next book.

HAVOC

Havoc at Prescott High by C.M. Stunich

There’s one word you don’t utter at Prescott High, not unless you want them to own you.
H.A.V.O.C.
Hael, Aaron, Victor, Oscar, and Callum.

The Havoc Boys rule the hellhole we call Prescott High.
Once upon a time, they ruled me. For an entire year, I endured their shit.
But senior year is going to be different.

This year, I own them.
I’ve made a pact with the Havoc Boys to get the vengeance I deserve.
Their price? Me. At their beck and call, in their beds, a part of their gang.

Their girl.
A Havoc Girl.
Those dirty, rotten boys are going to get revenge against everyone that’s wronged me—everyone but themselves.

Havoc is another Reverse Harem with a good story. It is very dark and violent, but the story is very engaging.
