Synopsis

Madison Kate Danvers was murdered tonight.”

Those words changed my life, and not for the better.
They were wrong, of course. I wasn’t dead. But I was set up.
After being charged with a string of offences–and made an example of by my political minded father–I’m eventually released back into Shadow Grove with one thing on my mind.
Hate.
Someone is going to pay for derailing my carefully laid out future. Someone is going to catch the full force of my hate. How very convenient that someone just moved into the bedroom down the hall from me.
Archer D’Ath and his boys messed with the wrong chick and they’re about to learn just how cold Madison Kate’s hate can run.

Review

What initially drew me to Hate was the enemies to lovers and reverse harem.   But what I didn’t expect was to be lured into the mystery of it all.  There was so much suspense in this book, and I loved every minute of it.

I loved all the characters in this book.  Madison Kate was such a fun character.  A stubborn and sassy woman bent on revenge.  And the boys, Alpha-holes to the nth degree.  I liked that while they were all truly alpha-holes, they each had their own personalities.  I am hesitant to choose a favorite because usually, in RH, my favorite changes throughout the full story.  But if forced, I think I would go with Kodi at this point.

This story could never be described as slow. It starts full throttle from the beginning and doesn’t ever really stop.  All of the revenge plots are humorous, but what really drew me in was trying to figure out what really happened on riot night.  The one thing that did annoy me a little about this book is that the boys didn’t simply explain at least a little of what happened that night to Madison Kate early on.  I understand it was for plot purposes, but I just found it a little annoying.

I highly recommend this book. It has great characters, wonderful banter, laugh-out-loud pranks, steamy scenes, and a mystery I need to see solved.   This book does end with a cliffhanger, so be ready to wait for book two.
