Friends to Lovers

I have to be honest friends to lovers is not always my favorite.  In real life, I think it’s great, but often in books, it leaves me wanting more.  But I have compiled a list of ones that I have very much enjoyed, and some that were just okay.

Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating

josh and hazel's guide to not dating by Christina Lauren

This is one of my favorite Christina Lauren books!  Like made me doubt my stance on friends to lovers good!  I won’t gush about it too much and you can read my full review if you want, but this book is so funny and well written.   I think what I liked most about this book is that it really took your through the friendship, so the lovers part didn’t come out of nowhere.  That and the characters were absolutely amazing!

Fangirl

Fangirl by rainbow Rowell

Fangirl is absolutely adorable.  Honestly, no one writes a YA contemporary Romance like Rainbow Rowell.  Not only is the story the kick off for the amazing Carry On, but it is so cute and well Levi.  Levi is arguably the sweetest guy in all of YA fiction.  Cath is also a great female protagonist, though she is very stubborn.  It’s been a while since I read this one, I may be due for a reread very soon.

The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue

The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue (Montague Siblings #1) by Mackenzi Lee

This one is for my historical an or LGBTQ lovers out there. The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue is an entertaining read!  You can read my full review, but suffice it to say its a hilarious book with a lot of heart!  I won’t pretend that Monty didn’t get on my nerves at times, but the story was a good one and I did enjoy most of the characters.

There are also a few that I didn’t love but you might, 99 Percent Mine, and Ana and the French Kiss.

What are some of your favorites?
