Evie has a plan to seduce her brother’s best friend Smith while they are in Paris together. It doesn’t go quite as planned, and when they head back home to Chicago all hopes of avoiding him are quashed when she finds out the two of them will be working alongside her brother.

This was a cute quick read. I liked both Smith and Evie, though due to the fact this was so short there wasn’t a ton of character development, especially not on Evie’s part. Because it was told from both Evie and Smith’s point of view, a trend in romance that I am loving, you get a better feel for what’s going on. I think the dual POV helps move the story forward, especially in this case, though there does tend to be a little more telling than showing.
This story has the falling for my best friend’s sister trope, and as someone who does not have an older brother, I sort of don’t understand what the big deal is. There seem to be a lot of overprotective big brothers in romance. Though I do understand that it adds a conflict, and also adds a naughty we can’t get caught vibe.
Though this book was short it was high on the steam factor. Short and steamy, just the way I like it. As I said, this is a quick read, and very cute. If you’re looking for something more feel good, pick this one up
