There exists a secret band of brothers like no other-six vampire warriors, defenders of their race. Yet none of them relishes killing more than Wrath, the leader of The Black Dagger Brotherhood. The only purebred vampire left on earth, Wrath has a score to settle with the slayers who murdered his parents centuries ago. But, when one of his most trusted fighters is killed-leaving his half-breed daughter unaware of his existence or her fate-Wrath must usher her into the world of the undead-a world of sensuality beyond her wildest dreams. (GoodReads) So I read this book about a million years ago and remembered there were vampires and some sex and that was it. Which let’s be honest sounds pretty good. I decided to refresh my memory and I am glad I did! The smut level is relatively low on this one, the scenes are relatively tame compared to other books I’ve read, but I still enjoyed it. Personally, I love a tough alpha male who gets super sappy over a woman, and if that’s something you’re into then this book, and I imagine this whole series is for you. I liked that Beth was a very strong character and even though Wrath is this super scary Vampire King she did not take his sh*t. The story was great too, there was some mystery and a lot of danger. This book sets up the series nicely and I am already dying to read the next one.
