Books with One Word Titles

This week’s Top Ten Tuesday is Books with One Word Titles.  I have to admit there aren’t that many books with one-word titles.  I am going to take this opportunity to share some book recommendations.  All of these will have one word titles, but they will also be some of my personal favorites.  Many of these do not get much attention either.

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and has since moved to That Artsy Reader Girl beginning in January of 2018.

10. Nevernight

It could be that I was a little disappointed with Godsgrave and a lot disappointed with Darkdawn, but Nevernight is by my favorite of this series.  It was such an original book.

9. Book Cover Hourglass by Myra McEntire

I read Hourglass a long time ago and I still remember it fondly.  This is another where the first book far exceeded the rest of the series.  Not that it was bad, but Hourglass was far and away my favorite.

8. Renegades

I enjoyed Renegades I liked this take on a dystopian world.  I also liked the moral greyness of these characters.

7. Thunderhead

Scythe was a great series as a whole.  The Toll is maybe my favorite conclusion to a series, but Thunderhead was such a brilliant book.

6. Illuminae

I loved Illuminae, all three books were good but this one was by far my favorite of the three.

5. Enchantee

I have to admit I did not expect to love Enchantee as much as I did.  The book was magical and intriguing and I loved it.

4. Rook

Rook is a book I plan on re-reading.  It blew me away the first time I read it and I have to say I am surprised it isn’t more popular.

3. Captain

I adore this series by Lauren Rowe and while I enjoyed the first book Hero, Captain is still my favorite…at least so far!

2. Legendary

All the books in this series have a one-word title and while I enjoyed both Caraval and Finale, Legendary was by far my favorite.

1. Vicious

Vicious is probably one of my favorite books of all time.  It is relatively popular, but if you haven’t read it yet, you really should.

  1. I saw Vicious all over last year, but never read it, maybe it is time. I will be checking out some of the books on your list.
