Review

I’m pretty sure these Zodiac Academy books get better and better, and Shadow Princess is my favorite one yet.

There are many characters in this book. However, while I enjoy them all, I enjoy certain characters, a particular couple, the most. So I do have to admit that there are specific POV chapters I enjoy more than others.

In Shadow Princess, we learn a little more about the Vega Twins and what they are capable of. I think we are finally getting answers, though often these answers just bring more questions, so…

What I love most about this book is character development and seeing its impact on relationships. No spoilers, but seeing the relationships grow between certain characters is highly entertaining. I am overall the bullying, though. I am tired of seeing the heirs try and try again to destroy the Vega twins. It seems like a stupid reason to do what they do, and I hope it stops with the next book.

As I said, we start to get answers, and in addition to character development, this one moves the plot forward. Some chapters seem a little like filler, most likely cause I care less about those characters, but all in all, this book moves everything forward. Of course, it ends in a pretty brutal cliffhanger, not that I’m surprised, but know that going in.
