Synopsis

Two wrongs don’t make a right.
But, try telling them that.

Marni
I wasn’t supposed to be at that house.
I should have never wandered away from the party.
And I definitely shouldn’t have pressed my ear to that door.
The words I heard play in my mind like a record on repeat.
Now, they want my silence.
The four guys who terrorize the streets of Redwood as a sport will stop at nothing to make sure that my lips are sealed.
What they don’t know is that I refuse to go down without a fight.

Talon
Marni Thorn thinks she’s holding all the cards.
She believes she’s harboring our secret.
Little does she know, it wasn’t ours to begin with.
We made a rule that she’s off limits.
But a body like that is meant to be touched.
Limits are pushed, and rules are broken.
But one thing is for certain, I have my little rebel right where I want her.

Review

If you liked Corrupt by Penelope Douglas, you will probably like Striker. There are a lot of similarities between the stories and characters, though I enjoyed Striker more.

Striker is a bully romance about four boys out for revenge. The entire time I was reading, I felt like I was missing something. This is the first in a series, but I think that there may be parts of another series that could shed some light on this. The feeling of not understanding hindered my overall enjoyment of the book.

That being said, I did enjoy this book. The charters were great; I liked both Talon and Marnie. They were both strong. However, I would have liked a little more backstory between the characters. Unlike in Corrupt, this one felt more like a romance, which I appreciated. You could see Talon and Marnie falling for one another. Although this is certainly a darker romance, with some dark parts, including some non-con, it wasn’t all darkness and revenge.

If you’re looking for a dark bully romance, this might be one for you to check out. I will undoubtedly read the next book in this series.
