It is almost Halloween, and I don’t know about you, but I want to read some books that will get me into that spooky spirit. So here are 5 books to read to get in the Spooky Spirit just in time for Halloween.

House of Salt and Sorrows
House of Salt and Sorrow

The House of Salt and Sorrow has some definite spooky vibes, it is a very atmospheric read that I really enjoyed.

This book has got to be one of the creepiest books I have ever read. I would imagine this book covers just about every trigger, so pick this up at your own risk.

Book Cover Winterwood bu Shea Ernshaw

Winterwood is another great creepy read. It has witches and ghosts and urban legends. It is perfect to get you in that spooky mood.

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark

This book was one of my all-time favorites to read as a kid. This book is full of ultra-creepy and spooky stories.

Anna Dressed in Blood

Anna Dressed in Blood is a true horror story. It is still YA but there are certainly some pretty crazy parts to this book, so if you love a good ghost story check this one out.

  1. I don’t read a lot of spooky stories, but I still have my son’s copy of Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. I will have to dig it out and give it to him to read to his son. 👻👻
